🎓 In this episode, Matthew covers:
- How to tackle the "last mile problem" in people analytics.
- The importance of data storytelling for HR leaders.
- Why simply providing data isn't enough-leaders need context and emotional engagement.

When traditional marketing was being disrupted with digital marketing, certain skills like google ads generated employment.....so when we talk about AI disruption can you please specify tools or skills to learn because if I am not wrong AI is a very broad term. Please discuss which industries are going through disruption, where is value being created and what specific tools to learn to be future ready...please name a few

Not always, theres limits to every skill you might be able to throw but you might not be professional grade even with all the training and practice in the world because you arent built for it. We need to accept that hard work can only take a person so far. If you are working your ass off to be mediocre you are in the wrong profession

"I'm unable to comprehend this system" is not equal to "this system cannot be comprehended" Complex is simply too complicated for regular human beings to comprehend, although I suggest inventing new words instead of adding extra meaning to existing ones willy nilly. Generally those words are synonyms since complex and complicated systems are identical to you if you're dumb enough.

It would be so much better if this channel actually provided valuable information for HR personnel, rather than bringing on company founders to shill their products. Bring on expert HR leaders to discuss HR strategies, initiatives etc. AI conversations can be involved in this of course.

I need your help, SoFi is screwing me over from the money I lost on fraud. They are blaming me, not helping me, coming up with their own conclusions and will not refund me the money that was stolen from my account. If we could please talk about this, I can go in to greater detail over PM. I wanted to see if we could create a video or something explaining how bad my experience has been with SoFi. I need someone to help me out and call out SoFi for how horrible of a job they are doing. Thank you

Great episode. Here's a summary by AI: **Shifting mindset:** - Moving away from transactional tasks to focus on strategic initiatives and human-centric outcomes. - Embracing AI as a tool to enhance, not replace, human capabilities. - Acknowledging the potential for AI to disrupt traditional roles and workflows. **Communicating the value of AI:** - Focusing on business outcomes and how AI can help achieve strategic goals. - Highlighting the benefits for both employees and customers. - Emphasizing the role of AI in talent development and skills-based hiring. - Using storytelling and showcasing real-world examples of AI success. **Challenges and solutions:** - **Data quality and governance:** Ensuring data is clean and accurate for AI to function effectively. - **Shifting from data management to data governance:** Allowing AI to surface insights and recommendations rather than trying to control every aspect of the data. - **Prioritizing the problem over the project:** Ensuring AI implementation is aligned with specific business objectives. - **Change management:** Communicating the value of AI to employees and addressing concerns about job displacement. - **Cultural shift:** Encouraging a culture of experimentation and continuous learning. **Practical advice:** - **Start small and experiment:** Choose a low-risk project with potential for scalability. - **Foster partnerships:** Collaborate with other departments and organizations to leverage resources and expertise. - **Define what AI is and isn't:** Be clear about its limitations and capabilities to manage expectations. - **Re-evaluate metrics:** Understand how AI impacts existing metrics and consider new ways of measuring success. - **Be prepared to pivot:** Don't be afraid to change course if an AI initiative isn't working.

Thanks a lot for such informative videos. Request your advice on getting back into workforce after 2+ years of career gap due to medical emergency at home. I couldn't upskill myself during this period as most of the time was spent on taking care of my ailing mother. Since situation is settled now and I am ready to join workforce but it seems to be a dead end as no reply from companies despite of multiple applications having ATS friendly Resume'. I left my last job as an AVP-Finance and would like to restart with same level or a level below at least. Can you please help me in such situation by sharing your suggestions? Thanks!

How ‘bout higher productivity because more employees are included and have more opportunities for advancement and to earn more. You also benefit from different perspectives and ways of solving problems. If you’re looking to expand into different markets either or abroad you better have people who look and sound like the people’s who’s money you’re trying to get. Business is about relationships and people can’t relate to you they’re not going to spend any money with you. So, DEI increases sales which increases the bottom line.

I've just seen how defensive I am I am shocked and sad but I need tools does he actually share the tools. How do you heal and recover from this defencive state. I knew I was being direct and a bit loud.. Assertive.. So I thought because I continually fely under attack and not listened to by a person with a superiority complex.. Its been like a battle and I don't like who I've become. I feel so ready to change.. I'm so grateful for being able to see myself.
